About The Position

The Clinical Support Specialist (CSS) is responsible for supporting the counseling team and tasks associated with the day-to-day operation of The Crossing campus. This role operates during an overnight shift and involves ensuring the security, safety, and well-being of residents and the facility.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
• At least one year of relevant experience.
• Able to obtain Certified Addiction Technician (CAT) credential within one year of hire date.
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
• Ability to resolve conflict professionally and respectfully while maintaining composure under pressure.
• Basic knowledge of Windows software applications.
• Willingness to work the assigned work schedule.
• Ability to obtain and maintain CPR certification within 90 days of hire.
• Active Driver's License.
• Must be a Christian holding to the beliefs set forth in the Statement of Faith, expressed by a personal testimony and Christian conduct.

Responsibilities

• Operate as the primary support to the counseling team.
• Provide direct support to residents by performing community evaluations and monitoring resident compliance with program guidelines.
• Ensure the security and safety of the facility and residents during their shift, including control of drugs, alcohol, or other hazards.
• Handle difficult and unruly clients and ensure occupants are free from drugs, alcohol, and weapons.
• Call police, ambulances, or behavioral health services for outside guests.
• Regularly check and document the delivery of medications, ensuring the right person receives the correct medication.
• Perform daily property checks and submit maintenance requests online, following up with appropriate staff.
• Assist with driving the shuttle when needed.
• Understand the role in the daily operation of the Mission/Crossing, including clinical support and facility safety.
• Maintain a working knowledge of facility and program policies and procedures, mechanical operations, inventory control, safety, and the employee handbook.
• Schedule time off with the Clinical Support Supervisor to ensure continuous coverage.
• Maintain a visible presence throughout the facility during the shift.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the Clinical Support Supervisor and/or Clinical Director of Counseling and Admissions.
