About The Position

Position is a Clinical Support Specialist located at the South-Central Regional Office in Raeford, NC. This position will report directly to the Regional Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) and will assist the ADON with auditing and health care compliance through reports, data gathering and facility site visits.

Requirements

Licensed to practice as a Practical Nurse in the state of North Carolina.

Nice To Haves

Documented experience/support of obtaining ACA Accreditation.
Documented knowledge of facility/healthcare compliance and standards.
Documented clinical auditing and health care compliance reporting.

Responsibilities

Provide onsite support to facilities that have passed or are preparing for ACA accreditation
Assist facilities in maintaining healthcare compliance with PREA (Prison Rape Elimination Act), Health and Safety standards and other applicable healthcare regulations
Support quality improvement initiatives and help implement improvement plans
Deliver direct patient care within LPN scope under RN supervision, to include screening, observing, and assessing patients
Providing basic wound care and personal care
Administering routine respiratory therapy and other treatments
Performing catheter and colostomy care
Collecting vital signs and specimen
Preparing and administering medications
Administering and interpreting TB skin tests
Observing and recording pertinent patient information
Responding to medical emergencies, assisting Registered Nurses and Physicians as required
Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with facility standards
