Requirements

Basic knowledge of medical terminology
Experience with medical records and referral processes preferred
Understanding of continuity of care and the importance of complete documentation
Comfort using electronic medical record systems
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Good communication skills and a team focused mindset
Ability to manage multiple tasks and stay on schedule

Nice To Haves

Bilingual skills are a plus

Responsibilities

Maintain and update patient records with accuracy and attention to detail
Scan, upload, and organize documents in the electronic medical record system
Support referral processes by preparing, tracking, and managing referral documentation
Help ensure continuity of care by making records available to providers and outside partners as needed
Process medical record requests while following all privacy rules
Communicate clearly with staff, patients, and referral partners
Track and manage records to meet deadlines and support care coordination
Protect patient confidentiality at all times in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
