The MA Clinical Mental Health Counseling: Buddhism-Informed Contemplative Counseling (BICC) concentration seeks a Clinical Support Professional to assist the course instructor for CMHC-603-BA Counseling and Helping Relationships I course for on-campus in class and outside of class meetings. This is a one-semester appointment. This course meets on the Nalanda campus on Tuesdays 1:30pm-4:45pm during the Fall semester August 24, 2026 through December 11, 2026. Introduction to counseling theories, core skills, and the professional practice of counseling. Topics include current counseling theories, social justice and multicultural counseling competencies, basic attending, compassion, nonjudgmental states, and legal and ethical considerations. Methods of instruction include in-class roleplay, integration of peer and faculty feedback, and skill practice with peers.
