The supervisor ensures clients have timely access to quality clinical services, including during crises; oversees functions that support clinical operations; and ensures compliance with Federal, State, and City regulatory bodies, CARF, and funding entities. The position supports clinical services by identifying service gaps, developing solutions, implementing evidence-based treatment or overseeing innovative care models, and helping clinicians maintain active caseloads and maximize direct-care time. The supervisor maintains written supervisory notes, provides direct client services as needed, and develops strategies for timely access and engagement. The role also supervises crisis intervention, quality improvement and assurance activities, chart reviews, utilization management, incident follow-up, and integration of recovery, rehabilitation, treatment, and vocational components. Clinicians under this role’s oversight have a combined caseload of up to 350 clients. Personnel duties include participating in hiring and orientation, completing performance appraisals, addressing performance concerns, training and developing staff, monitoring attendance and vacation scheduling for program coverage, and supervising staff as appropriate to licensure.
