About The Position

The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for administering and monitoring clinic site and departmental activities, ensuring compliance with various regulatory standards including CSAT, JCAHO, HRA (STARS Reporting), and OASAS. This role manages the daily operations of the clinic site to ensure efficient and effective delivery of treatment services, including patient assignments, paperwork completion, and reporting. The supervisor facilitates interdisciplinary staff conferences, reviews patient records for quality and compliance, and disseminates policy and procedure information. They develop systems to monitor task completion, identify deficiencies, and establish corrective action plans. Additionally, the Clinical Supervisor conducts and documents individual supervision meetings, identifies staff deficiencies, and works on mechanisms to improve employee outcomes. They participate in recruiting, hiring, terminating, and evaluating counseling, clerical, and maintenance staff. This position oversees and resolves problems related to clinic site systems such as staffing, environment of care, medical records, patient confidentiality, staff/patient relations, and billing, ensuring compliance with all applicable MSBI and OTP policies and procedures. The supervisor also participates in the development and implementation of new policies, procedures, and programs, and provides Saturday supervisory coverage approximately 12 times per year. Performance improvement activities, patient/employee confidentiality, and the preparation/analysis of operational and financial reports are also key responsibilities. The role manages clinic petty cash, discretionary funds, and oversees the collection of self-pay fees, ensuring compliance with OTP policy. They ensure Financial Counselors see Medicaid eligible patients and inspect/evaluate the physical condition of the clinic site, recommending and initiating necessary repairs or replacements. Coordination of security, housekeeping, and loitering patrols, serving as a liaison between building management and the clinic site, and ensuring the security and safety of patients and staff are also part of the role. Maintaining good community relationships, managing clinic inventory, ordering supplies, assessing clinic needs, and making budget recommendations are required. Finally, the Clinical Supervisor provides oversight and coordination of the admission process and identifies/oversees regulatory exemptions from Federal and State regulations, chairing weekly staff meetings.

Requirements

  • QHP Required: LMHC,LMSW,CASAC
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Four years of paid experience in health care delivery, social work, counseling, community or addiction services, public health, public administration, social research or related fields required
  • Three years of experience in a managerial and/or supervisory capacity required

Responsibilities

  • Disseminates and reviews policy and procedure information accurately and in a timely fashion.
  • Develops systems to monitor completion of tasks and identify deficiencies. Establishes corrective plan of action to ensure future compliance.

  • Participates, in conjunction with the Associate/Assistant Director of Operations in the recruiting, hiring, terminating, and evaluating of counseling, clerical and maintenance staff.

  • Inspects and evaluates the physical condition of clinic site and recommends/initiates painting, repairs, furnishings and equipment replacement.
  • Coordinates activities of security, housekeeping, and loitering patrols.
  • Serves as a liaison between building management and the clinic site, when appropriate.
  • Responsible for the security and safety of patients and staff.
  • Responsible for maintaining good relationships with community.
  • Manages clinic inventory and orders supplies accordingly.
  • Assesses needs of clinic and makes budget recommendations to Central Office.
  • Provides oversight and coordination of admission process.
  • Identify and oversee regulatory exemptions from Federal and State regulations.
  • Chairs weekly staff meetings.
