Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related field from an accredited college/university
  • Active Michigan licensure as an LLP, LP, LMSW, or LPC
  • Meets Child Mental Health Professional (CMHP) and/or Mental Health Professional (MHP) qualifications per Michigan Medicaid/PIHP/CMHSP standards
  • Minimum three (3) years of full-time clinical/casework experience, including at least one (1) year in a leadership or supervisory role
  • Knowledge of co-occurring disorders, stages of change, recovery-oriented care, and motivational interviewing
  • Understanding of dual diagnosis capability standards for mental health and substance use programs
  • Valid Michigan driver’s license required
  • Ability to maintain required child diagnostic treatment services training (24 hours)

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Clinical Supervisor (CCS-M or CCS-R) preferred; OR Active development plan in place to obtain supervisory credential for substance use treatment services

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical leadership, supervision, and mentorship to behavioral health staff within the Juvenile Justice program
  • Support the delivery of trauma-informed, person-centered, and evidence-based mental health and substance use treatment services
  • Guide staff in developing strength-based treatment plans, conducting risk assessments, and improving client outcomes
  • Utilize Motivational Interviewing and outcome-focused supervision techniques to support staff development and high-quality care
  • Oversee clinical documentation, chart audits, and compliance with Medicaid, KPI, and organizational standards
  • Collaborate with community partners and service providers to coordinate care and connect individuals with appropriate resources and supports
  • Promote a positive, collaborative team culture through coaching, professional development, and staff engagement initiatives
  • Ensure implementation of evidence-based practices and provide oversight of medically necessary services and clinical operations
  • Maintain effective communication, confidentiality, and professionalism across in-person and remote work environments
