About The Position

Bronx Community Solutions seeks to improve the quality of criminal justice in the Bronx by reducing the use of incarceration, promoting equity, and creating safe and healthy communities. By providing alternatives to incarceration, community-based sentencing options, links to meaningful services, and community-led justice interventions, our programming keeps individuals out of jail, restores community relationships, builds local leadership, and helps participants avoid further criminal justice involvement. Reporting to the Clinical Director, the Clinical Supervisor will be responsible for supporting the clinical practice of the Alternatives to Incarceration (ATI) program. The Clinical Supervisor will be responsible for reviewing assessments and coordinating treatment planning meetings with stakeholders and providers. The Clinical Supervisor will also provide direct clinical support and coverage when needed, provide support with overseeing the day-to-day operations of the clinic, assist with trouble shooting and provide crisis intervention strategies for more challenging cases. Additionally, the Clinical Supervisor may also be responsible for supervising members of the clinical team.

Requirements

  • An LMSW with 2 years of supervisory experience or 3 years of relevant experience (in criminal justice, human services, or clinical programs)
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred
  • Excellent written skills are a must
  • Candidate must have experience working with individuals who have experienced trauma, substance abuse, mental health, domestic violence and/or sexual assault
  • Familiarity with trauma-informed care practices
  • Candidate must be skilled communicator able to work in multi-disciplinary setting and maintain strong relationships with multiple agencies and organizations both onsite and in the community
  • Extensive group facilitation experience required and co-facilitation experience preferred
  • Experience with drug/alcohol treatment, mental health services, co-occurring disorders, trauma-informed and anti-oppressive practice strongly preferred
  • Experience facilitating conversations related to identity, oppression, and privilege and must excel at client engagement
  • Highly organized and excellent time management skills
  • Critical thinking skills and ability to manage high-pressure/fast-paced work environment are a plus

Nice To Haves

  • LCSW with at least 2 years of supervisory experience, preferred
  • co-facilitation experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical operational support to the ATI clinical staff and manage same-day programming
  • Partner with the Intake Coordinator to provide clinical support to staff when needed
  • Support the intake team with triaging of participants admitted and administer an assessment tool, as needed
  • Schedule and facilitate team meetings and clinical group supervisions for clinical and non-clinical staff
  • Provide clinical services to participants including individual counseling and case management sessions
  • Assist clinical staff and other departments with crisis intervention and de-escalation, as needed
  • Support the clinic team in clinical and task supervision
  • Support the implementation of clinical interventions, case management and audit process for ATI staff
  • Support case assignment and monitor compliance through ongoing caseload audits
  • Work closely with senior clinical staff to ensure policies and procedures are consistent across the program
  • Support with data management and tracking and monitoring program performance for both intake and clinical staff oversee evaluation activities
  • Assist the Clinical Director with communication between court operations, intake and clinical staff as needed
  • Provide support with facilitating, scheduling, and monitoring on-site psychoeducational groups
  • Provide support with case management duties and individual counseling to high need participants and additional comprehensive, clinically-informed case management services to individuals with mental illness to help address such issues as substance use, mental health, trauma, domestic violence, unstable housing and vocational needs
  • Assist the Clinical Director and Deputy Project Director in creating new community partnerships
  • Complete all necessary documentation and input data into a computer database
  • Monitor and report on compliance to court stakeholders and work with defense attorneys to bring program participants into compliance, as needed
  • Assist the Clinical Director with individual and team clinical supervisions, as needed
  • Provide coverage for the Clinical Director when needed by reviewing assessment recommendations, providing support to team members, assist with crisis intervention, and other tasks as needed
  • Assist the Clinical Director with facilitating trainings
  • Participate in trainings and attend staff meetings
  • Collaborate closely with managers across other departments and teams within Bronx Community Solutions
  • Assist with data collection and reporting, quarterly reports, and grant writing, as needed
  • Attend Bronx Community Solutions events after hours, as needed
  • Additional tasks as necessary
