Clinical Specialist, Enabling Technologies (San Diego, CA)
About The Position
The Clinical Specialist with Stryker Enabling Technologies provides clinical product support to hospital staff and on-site guidance during surgical procedures. The role trains surgeons and operating room staff and provides clinical and technical support for the operation of navigation technologies, associated equipment, and instruments to support procedural efficiency. The specialist uses proprietary software to prepare pre-operative scans for the Enabling Technologies system and assists with preoperative planning and intra-operative guidance. The position includes case coverage at customer accounts, submitting prompt and accurate complaint reports under Stryker Enabling Technologies' quality system, and supporting sales-plan development and execution. The specialist works to grow utilization of the navigation technologies, communicates product performance with Sales Representatives and Marketing, builds relationships with surgeons and OR staff, and obtains and tracks purchase orders for products used during procedures and services provided.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or 6+ years of clinical experience.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds constantly to move objects.
- Ability to handle instruments that may have been contaminated by blood or other bodily fluids.

Responsibilities

- Train surgeons and operating room staff and provide clinical and technical support in operating navigation technologies, associated equipment, and instruments.
- Use proprietary software to prepare pre-operative scans and assist surgeons with preoperative planning and intra-operative guidance.
- Submit prompt and accurate complaint reports in accordance with the Stryker Enabling Technologies quality system.
- Provide case coverage at accounts.
- Support development and execution of the sales plan and grow utilization of navigation technologies with current and potential surgeons.
- Promote the clinical benefits of products and build positive relationships with surgeons and OR staff at targeted accounts.
- Collaborate with Sales Representatives and Marketing to improve communication about product performance.
- Obtain purchase orders for products consumed during surgical procedures and maintain and track case-coverage purchase orders for services provided.
