About The Position

Falling under both WCAH and SO, the Clinical Solutions Specialist is a clinically-focused role, responsible for supporting the delivery, consistency, and quality of patient care across Senior Options' partner agencies. This role partners closely with the Senior Director of Clinical Operations to operationalize clinical and financial strategy, support front line clinical teams, and ensure excellence in care delivery across home health, hospice, and home care programs. While leveraging the electronic health record (EHR) and other systems as tools, this role is fundamentally centered on clinical practice, workflow execution, and patient care outcomes. This role blends clinical operations support with health information system expertise to ensure efficient, compliant, and high-performing home health, hospice, and home care programs. The Clinical Solutions Specialist works directly with clinicians and agency leadership to improve care delivery, strengthen documentation, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive operational effectiveness. The Clinical Solutions Specialist supports the execution of onboarding, training, system optimization, and day-to-day problem solving, while leveraging data and technology to drive clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency across partner organizations. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree (required) in nursing or health-related field.
  • Five to ten years of experience in home health, hospice and in a supervisory role
  • Experience using electronic health records (Matrix Care preferred).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of healthcare regulations including CMS Conditions of Participation, OASIS, HIS, HOPE, EVV requirements.
  • Proven ability to lead multi-site or multi-service line operations.
  • Experience with Microsoft and Google Applications.
  • Strong financial acumen and understanding of clinical impact on P&L
  • Leadership presence and team development expertise
  • Travel up to 50% of time, including overnight travel; Must be able to fly on commercial airlines within the US.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree in nursing or health-related field preferred
  • Multi-site home health and hospice operations experience preferred.
  • Experience with healthcare compliance frameworks and risk assessment methodologies.
  • Proficiency in compliance monitoring tools and electronic health record systems.
  • Proven compliance management experience in a healthcare setting, overseeing regulatory audits and compliance program development.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the ongoing advisory services and training to Senior Options partner agencies; administrators, home health and hospice team leaders and other agency staff.
  • Assist in the development, implementation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of clinical, financial, and operational health information systems, including EHR, billing systems, CMS portals, and regulatory solutions.
  • Assist the Senior Director of Clinical Operations in system builds, upgrades, interfaces, and enhancements following established change management and testing protocols.
  • Assist in the collaboration between the Senior Options finance and billing team and clinical operations team.
  • Assists with the operational startup of all new home health, hospice and home care services within the Senior Options network, including obtaining licensure, certification and accreditation. In addition, start up support includes advising partners on timing, staffing hiring, and conditions of participation.
  • Maintains detailed product plan and regular communication with the key leaders.
  • Coordinates implementation of software, billing, and training.
  • Ensure all systems comply with HIPAA, CMS, home health, hospice, and home care and community-based services regulations.
  • Collaborate with partner stakeholders to evaluate, test, and deploy technology solutions aligned with operational needs.
  • Assist with providing position related training to all staff members of the new site.
  • Assists the transition of all new partners with existing services to Senior Options. This includes preparing the new team, training and coordination of implementation of new EHR, training and helping to implement office processes, advising the team on staffing and operational efficiencies and other duties involving integration of the new partner.
  • Assists to develop, maintain, and deliver comprehensive training programs for clinical and financial system users, including orientation, super-user, and ongoing refresher training.
  • Supports the agencies during accreditation, audits, and state or federal surveys by providing EHR access and required reports.
  • Provide remote and in-person training nationwide, including support for adult learning methodologies.
  • Assists in the implementation of Senior Options standard programs including clinical protocols, bridge, memorable moments, advance care planning and bereavement.
  • Assists partner agencies in preparation for certification and licensure surveys. Assists in preparation of corrective action plans. Assists agency team members to prepare and implement performance improvement plans.
  • Conducts operations review audits to assess strengths and areas of improvement for agency operations, staffing, clinical management and financial performance.
  • Support regulatory documentation requirements, including OASIS/HOPE and patient satisfaction data submissions.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to documentation, patient visits, eligibility, payers, claims, and system access within defined service level expectations.
  • Assists in the maintenance and configuration of Medicare PPS rates, hospice payment systems, commercial and private payer setups, and clearinghouse connections.
  • Assists to guide partner agencies in monitoring and improving their utilization and productivity toward achievement of the triple aim and works with senior finance director and HCBS financial manager to prepare annual partner agency budgets, advising on staffing, medical supplies, EHR licenses, medical direction, pharmacy, equipment reimbursement and utilization.
  • Maintains a standardized process between clinical documentation and revenue cycle management. Assures that all agencies are implementing processes to generate accurate claims.
  • Responsible for maintaining electronic health records and new technologies for partners.
  • Run and analyze operational, clinical, financial, and administrative reports as requested.
  • Coordinate data entry, quality checks, file management structures, and resolution of data inconsistencies.
  • Produce monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc reports supporting leadership and regulatory needs.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for clinical system components and workflows.
  • Identify clinical system trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement; recommend and implement optimized workflows.
  • Ensure compliance with CMS, state regulations, and accreditation standards (e.g., CHAP, ACHC, Joint Commission).
