The organization supports hundreds of individuals in the community daily through its incredible staff. This role, Clinical Secretary- Inpatient Center, is a Per Diem position, meaning it is filled as needed, and contributes to making a meaningful difference to patients and families.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of office, clerical or administrative experience required
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Exceptional verbal communication skills required.

Nice To Haves

• Healthcare experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Assures all guests are welcomed and incoming calls are courteously received.
• Provides secretarial functions such as faxing, typing, and copying.
• Maintains and distributes Inpatient Center (IPC) daily census in a timely fashion.
• Prepares admission packets.
• Prepares IPC charts at time of transfer and completes chart upon death or transfer to another facility.
• Assists with follow up calls and details of death and transfer checklists as requested.
• Communicates effectively with organizational staff, physicians, patients, visitors, outside contractors and community agencies.
• Maintains adequate supplies of all Inpatient Center forms and booklets.
• Serves as liaison with medical records department
• Provides secretarial assistance to staff.
• Maintains professional boundaries.
• Regular attendance and timeliness is an essential job function.
