About The Position

The Clinical Revenue and Research Data Analyst is a skilled data and information management professional with expertise in data analysis, SQL query development, Tableau, and programming languages such as Python. This role requires experience or a strong interest in leveraging AI and other emerging technologies to enhance data insights and operational efficiency. This position will play a key role in supporting the Department of Medicine (DOM) clinical enterprise through data analysis and data management. The analyst is responsible for delivering accurate, reliable, and well-structured data to a diverse group of stakeholders. This includes validating data across multiple sources, identifying inconsistencies, and streamlining data request processes to improve accessibility and usability. The Clinical Revenue and Research Data Analyst will report to the Project and Product Manager for the Department of Medicine Portals Team and the Director of Research Administration & Revenue Management. This person will provide support for three main areas: clinical revenue, research analytics, and financial internal controls. The incumbent must be proficient in designing queries and managing a diverse set of data to answer business questions. The incumbent will work collaboratively with stakeholders to assess high-priority business questions, evaluate available data sources, help design and implement reports and visualizations to answer these questions, and perform data validation to ensure accuracy. The individual is expected to leverage AI (e.g., custom GPTs) and API-based solutions to design and operationalize intelligent, automated data workflows, and to drive scalable improvements across departmental data processes. The Clinical Revenue and Research Data Analyst will support the department’s clinical mission by investigating questions related to clinical revenue and physician productivity. They will also gather data and develop charts and reports to enable the department to evaluate the success of the department’s research mission. Finally, the Clinical Revenue and Research Data Analyst will play a key role in strengthening the department’s internal controls.
