About The Position

The Penn Memory Center conducts and participates in a wide range of studies related to Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias, mild cognitive impairment, cognitive aging, and lifelong brain health. We are seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator to manage data and administer neuropsychological assessments for an observational study aimed at identifying measures to monitor response to treatment with FDA approved amyloid-targeting therapies for patients with Alzheimer’s disease.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science and 1 to 2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required (CRC-A)
  • Bachelor of Science and 2 to 3 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required (CRC-B)
  • Excellent interpersonal, writing and analytical skills
  • Must be detail oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking skills
  • Ability to delegate work among team members and lead in training activities of new staff (CRC B)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience and/or interest in working with older adults with cognitive impairment preferred
  • Experience with R or other statistical packages preferred (CRC-A)
  • Experience in clinical research strongly preferred (CRC-B)
  • Experience with R or other statistical packages preferred (CRC-B)

Responsibilities

  • Screening, recruiting, consenting and enrolling eligible participants using GCP guidelines
  • Administering and scoring paper-and-pencil and app-based neuropsychological assessments to clinical patients and research participants following standardized protocols
  • Maintaining and entering data into research databases containing patient/participant information and test results
  • Conducting various research related tasks including escorting participants to scans and infusion visits, scheduling participant visits, and maintaining regular follow up with participants
  • Clean, organize, and create visualizations of a large data set for further analysis
  • Conduct more advanced data management and inter-team coordination (CRC B)
  • Perform other duties as reasonably assigned (CRC B)
