About The Position
The Clinical Research Assistant will support ongoing community-engaged research initiatives within the IGNITE (Innovations in Gerontology and Implementation for Translation and Engagement) Lab. The lab is dedicated to improving health outcomes for older adults and individuals living with chronic conditions through the development, implementation, and dissemination of evidence-based practices. This role involves direct participant interaction, data collection in community settings, and contributions to research dissemination activities.

Responsibilities
- Conduct primary data collection in participants’ homes and community settings, ensuring adherence to study protocols and ethical standards
- Interact professionally and respectfully with older adult participants and individuals with chronic conditions
- Collect, manage, and maintain both qualitative and quantitative research data
- Assist in data cleaning, coding, and analysis using appropriate methodologies
- Ensure accurate documentation and secure handling of research data
- Contribute to the preparation of manuscripts for peer-reviewed journals
- Assist in developing abstracts, posters, and presentations for academic conferences and community dissemination
- Support literature reviews and synthesis of research findings
- Provide general support for day-to-day lab operations
- Assist with study coordination, scheduling, and communication with research partners
- Maintain organized records, supplies, and research materials
- Participate in lab meetings and contribute to collaborative projects
- Run errands to pick up or deliver research materials or assist with participant-related needs
- Support special projects as assigned by the Principal Investigator or lab leadership
- Perform additional duties as needed to support research and lab functions
