About The Position

RD Nutrition Consultants LLC is seeking a part-time Clinical Registered Dietitian to provide quarterly on-site visits to various locations in the area. The role provides nutritional care to facility residents and offers a flexible schedule. The position is 5–8 hours per week, generally consisting of one short on-site visit per week. Compensation is $45.00–$50.00 per hour, depending on experience. Travel time to and from the facility is reimbursed at the same hourly rate.

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field from an accredited program.
Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
Experience reviewing menus for facilities.
Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
Ability to apply critical thinking, assess objectives, and develop, implement, and monitor effective improvement plans.
Proficiency in providing general nutrition care.
Familiarity with state survey processes and nutrition care regulations.

Nice To Haves

Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments for new admissions and quarterly thereafter, with more frequent reviews as needed for high-risk residents.
Develop, implement, and monitor individualized nutrition care plans.
Provide nutrition education and counseling as needed.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance nutrition care services and resident outcomes as needed.
Review and approve menus semi-annually to ensure they meet USDA guidelines.
Conduct monthly kitchen sanitation audits, document findings, and recommend corrective actions to maintain a safe and sanitary environment.
Perform other tasks as assigned and within scope of practice as needed.
Adhere to all facility policies and procedures.
