About The Position

Clinica Sierra Vista is one of the largest Federally Qualified Health Centers in the Nation, serving diverse communities with comprehensive care. As the team grows, they are seeking individuals who prioritize the patient. This role is responsible for implementing, monitoring, and evaluating the Integrated Behavioral Health Department’s Quality and Compliance Management Program. The coordinator will ensure quality and compliance with behavioral health contractual agreements, HRSA, and Joint Commission standards, and will develop workflows within the EHR to ensure IBH therapists meet standard billing and quality care requirements.

Requirements

  • Valid Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) Licensure as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), OR a valid license with the Board of Psychology as a Licensed Clinical Psychologist
  • 3-4 years of working in community mental health or Substance Use Disorder program is desired
  • Demonstrated organizational, and management skills in a behavioral health care delivery organization.
  • Knowledge and understanding of California Medi-Cal standards for mental health out-patient services and for substance abuse treatment.
  • Knowledge of performance and audit standards for HRSA and FQHC requirements.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills in English and demonstrated ability to analyze data and write concise narrative and statistical reports.
  • Valid California driver’s license, auto insurance, and personal transportation.

Responsibilities

  • Planning, directing, coordinating, and evaluating behavioral health program compliance with contract agreements, local, state, and federal regulations, performance standards, performance improvement plans, customer service objectives, and Department of Health Care Services laws, regulations, and state plan amendments.
  • Implementing and maintaining improvement activities to meet the requirements of the FQHCs.
  • Designing and providing staff development activities to meet quality standards.
  • Developing and implementing quality improvement processes.
  • Establishing work plan metrics with data collection methodology for accurate trending reports.
  • Monitoring and recommending actions to address site risks or vulnerabilities.
  • Developing comprehensive recommendation strategies to improve and streamline program activities.
  • Collaborating with internal and external entities to identify and problem-solve quality improvement related issues.
  • Preparing and maintaining peer reviews and providing appropriate follow-up.
  • Overseeing adherence to medical record requests and ensuring all releases meet required HIPAA standards.
  • Developing assessment activities and tools to track, analyze, and present patient/client outcome measures, process improvement activities, program performance, and customer satisfaction, along with tracking mechanisms relating to these materials.
  • Providing reports and data summaries relevant to performance improvement activities.
  • Coordinating/participating in the development and oversight of the Behavioral Health Department’s compliance program.
  • Operating standard office equipment including: a keyboard, copier, telephone, and calculator.
  • Working irregularly scheduled hours on occasion.
  • Traveling between sites and occasional out-of-area travel.
  • Providing other administrative support as required.
