About The Position
Wander Staffing is seeking one Clinical Psychologist to provide psychological evaluations, diagnosis, and treatment at Wilford Hall Ambulatory Surgical Center (59 MDW), Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas. The position is 100% on-site at 1100 Wilford Hall Loop, Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, TX 78236. Compensation is $64 per hour for a W-2 position. Schedule details are forthcoming. This is a long-term contract; the contract duration is between the government and Wander Staffing. Employees who need to leave are asked to provide 60 days’ notice. The psychologist will practice within state licensing-board guidelines, the APA Ethical Principles and Code of Conduct, and their MTF privileges. Duties include conducting evaluations, establishing diagnoses, providing treatment, helping medical and surgical patients cope with illness or injury, and assisting with rehabilitation.
Requirements
- PhD or PsyD in clinical or counseling psychology from an APA-accredited college or university.
- Completion of an APA-accredited psychology internship.
- Additional training is required for psychology specialties.
- Valid, unrestricted license or certification to practice as a psychologist in any of the 50 states, DC, Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U.S. Virgin Islands.
- Must meet credentialing requirements, including experience and licensure.
- Prior experience working in a hospital facility; experience from other types of healthcare settings will not be accepted.
Responsibilities
- Conduct psychological evaluations using clinical interviews, psychological testing, and collateral sources as appropriate.
- Establish psychiatric diagnoses using the DSM.
- Provide psychological treatment for individuals and groups.
- Help medical and surgical patients cope with illnesses or injuries.
- Assist with patient rehabilitation.
- Practice in accordance with state licensing-board guidelines, the APA Ethical Principles and Code of Conduct, and MTF privileges.
