About The Position
Harmony United Psychiatric Care is hiring a Clinical Psychologist / Neuropsychologist for its outpatient mental health clinic in Port Orange, Florida. The clinic provides in-person and virtual services, including psychological evaluations, medication management, psychotherapy and counseling, and neuropsychological testing, to adults, adolescents, and children aged five and above. The role involves psychological assessment, diagnosis, and therapeutic interventions for patients with a range of mental health conditions. The clinician may provide psychotherapy and counseling, neuropsychological and neurocognitive testing, or a combination of these services. This is an independent contractor position with a flexible work schedule determined by the contractor. In-person and telehealth appointments are available, with telemedicine availability Friday through Sunday and the option to work 50% via telemedicine from the beginning of employment.
Requirements
- Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology (Ph.D. or Psy.D.).
- Must have a license in the state of Florida or be in the process of obtaining one.
Nice To Haves
- Experience conducting neurocognitive and neuropsychological testing is preferred.
- Work experience in an outpatient setting is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide psychological assessments, diagnoses, and therapeutic interventions for patients with a variety of mental health conditions.
- Provide different modalities of psychotherapy and counseling services.
- Provide neuropsychological and neurocognitive testing services.
- Choose to provide psychotherapy and counseling only, neuropsychological testing only, or a combination of both services.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare providers.
- Provide psychoeducation to patients and their families about mental health conditions, neuropsychological findings, and therapeutic strategies.
- Document services rendered in compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Stay current with advancements in psychology and neuropsychology through continuing education and professional development.
