About The Position

The Behavioral Health Clinical Programs Manager is a licensed position reporting to the Administrator, Chief Behavioral Health Officer of Doctors Behavioral Center. The Clinical Programs Manager is responsible for overall management, coordination, monitoring and evaluation of appropriateness of the day to day operations and performance of the Clinical Social Services. This role will be responsible for clinical oversight of the Intake/admission screening and all clinical functions for Inpatient Clinicians, Activity Staff and will manage all activities of the Social Services staff as noted under the California Code of Regulations Title 22 and Center for Medicare and Medicaid services (CMS) conditions of participation.

Requirements

  • Licensed as a Clinical Social worker (LCSW) in State of California.
  • Master’s Degree from an accredited school of social work.
  • Two (2) years management experience in a Mental Health setting or related field.
  • Valid CA Drivers license and proof of automotive insurance.

Nice To Haves

  • One (1) or more years' of experience as a clinician in an Inpatient Psychiatric setting.
  • Experience in a Psychiatric/Chemical Dependency setting conducting evaluations.
  • Experience in the application of Crisis Theory Methodology.
  • Knowledge of principles, techniques and trends in counseling, psychotherapy, clinical case management, and various treatment modalities.
  • Knowledge of biological, behavioral and environmental aspects of emotional disturbances, mental disability, retardation and substance abuse.
  • Knowledge of principles and techniques of mental health education, prevention, and crisis intervention within the community.
  • Knowledge of culturally proficient practices with diverse caseload.
  • Knowledge of scope and activities of the public and private health and welfare agencies and other available resources.
