About The Position

This is a time-limited position responsible for providing program leadership, vision, and direction to achieve statewide impact in pediatric endocrinology, specifically focusing on diabetes initiatives. The role involves developing and managing budgets, staffing, contracts, and program reporting, as well as supervising program staff and fostering their professional development. Key activities include coordinating statewide diabetes screening and outreach, building strategic partnerships, and directing the design and implementation of technology-enabled diabetes education and management initiatives. The position also supports diabetes tissue biobanking operations and involves collecting, analyzing, and reporting program outcomes to various stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Nice To Haves

• Master’s degree in nursing, public health, health administration, biomedical sciences, or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• PhD, Master of Nursing, Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), or active nursing license (ARNP or equivalent).
• Experience in diabetes prevention, management, or research.
• Familiarity with continuous glucose monitoring (CGM), health technology applications, or artificial intelligence in healthcare.
• Proven success in managing large-scale, multi-stakeholder initiatives and budgets.
• Track record of partnership development and cross-sector collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Provide program leadership, vision, and direction to achieve statewide impact.
• Develop and manage budgets, staffing, contracts, and program reporting.
• Supervise program staff, provide mentorship, and foster professional development.
• Coordinate statewide diabetes screening and outreach activities in collaboration with UF faculty, state agencies, and community organizations.
• Build and maintain strategic partnerships across academic, clinical, governmental, and community settings.
• Direct the design, implementation, and evaluation of technology-enabled diabetes education and management initiatives.
• Support development and oversight of diabetes tissue biobanking operations.
• Collect, analyze, and report program outcomes for UF leadership, the Florida Legislature, and funding agencies.
