About The Position

Administrative Responsibilities: Provide program leadership, vision, and direction to achieve statewide impact. Develop and manage budgets, staffing, contracts, and program reporting. Supervise program staff, provide mentorship, and foster professional development. Travel and program development: Coordinate statewide diabetes screening and outreach activities in collaboration with UF faculty, state agencies, and community organizations. Build and maintain strategic partnerships across academic, clinical, governmental, and community settings. Direct the design, implementation, and evaluation of technology-enabled diabetes education and management initiatives. Data management and research development: Support development and oversight of diabetes tissue biobanking operations. Collect, analyze, and report program outcomes for UF leadership, the Florida Legislature, and funding agencies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in nursing, public health, health administration, biomedical sciences, or a closely related field.
  • Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • PhD, Master of Nursing, Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), or active nursing license (ARNP or equivalent).
  • Experience in diabetes prevention, management, or research.
  • Familiarity with continuous glucose monitoring (CGM), health technology applications, or artificial intelligence in healthcare.
  • Proven success in managing large-scale, multi-stakeholder initiatives and budgets.
  • Track record of partnership development and cross-sector collaboration.
