About The Position

Metropolitan Family Services (MFS) is seeking a full-time Clinical Program Supervisor to join their Metropolitan Peace Initiatives Team. MFS is a comprehensive human services agency focused on community, with a mission to provide services that promote education, economic stability, emotional wellness, and empowerment. This role is part of the Communities Partnering 4 Peace (CP4P) initiative, a framework designed to reduce violence and gang activity through community-driven strategies and interventions with high-risk individuals. The Clinical Program Supervisor will lead the coordination of behavioral health services within the community and CTA systems, focusing on complex cases, crisis response, and enhancing service effectiveness.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling or related field from an accredited college or university, required.
• 2+ years of Community Violence Intervention (CVI) experience with at least 2 years of supervision experience, required.
• Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), required.

Nice To Haves

• Some experience in curriculum and program development and implementation, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the coordination of behavioral health services within the community and CTA systems by reviewing complex cases, supporting high-risk crisis responses, ensuring compliance with clinical, ethical, and organizational standards, and implementing strategies to enhance service effectiveness and team performance.
• Develop and strengthen partnerships with community stakeholders, behavioral health systems, hospitals, public safety agencies, and CTA leadership to support program expansion, improve continuity of care, and advance collaborative crisis response initiatives across diverse communities.
• Collaborate with CPRU team members to identify, de-escalate, and mediate high-tension situations related to mental health concerns; build trust with diverse individuals and groups; and provide post-crisis follow-up support to promote stabilization and healing.
• May provide a full range of case management, counseling (individuals/family and groups), advocacy, educational, and related services to Community Safety and Transit Operations participants and staff as needed.
• Supervision of staff and interns. Provide clinical guidance and shadowing opportunities for interns.
• Attend multidisciplinary meetings and events for MPI CP4P, CTA, etc orgs as scheduled.
• Responsible for meeting contractual requirements such as 24-hour crisis rotation coverage.
• Responsible for maintaining quality and quantity of services. Keeps abreast of client service needs and participates in planning for them.
• Responsible for all personnel matters within program including hiring, assigning, and terminating of staff. Identifies for manager, leadership potential of program staff.
• Participates in developing unit's annual and long-range plan and recommends program budget to their supervisor.
• Assures appropriate integrations of multi-service, multi-disciplinary, and systems approach to program.
• Flexible to travel to different neighborhoods of the city.
• Works effectively with diverse staff and service population.
• Other duties as assigned.
