Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field required.
  • Licensure as a Psychologist, LPCC, LISW, LICDC or RN required. Duel mental health and chemical dependency licensure required for AOD areas, one of which must be an independent license. RN is required for nursing areas.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and meet agency driving requirements.
  • Required CPR certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Required CPI certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must demonstrate knowledge of mental illness, individual, group counseling skills, assessment skills, and crisis intervention skills.
  • Must demonstrate knowledge in chronic physical health issues and needs of persons who are SPMI or SED.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends and, if on ACT team, holidays.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to define problems, analyze data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions and make recommendations.
  • Must demonstrate a positive attitude, commitment to provide superior service, and enthusiastic support for the mission of the agency.
  • Must demonstrate personal integrity, the ability to develop and work as part of a team, and a commitment to the mission of the agency.
  • Must be able to work with ill, disabled, emotionally upset and at times hostile individuals.
  • Must be able to drive and be insured under the agency’s commercial liability policy as a driver if hired in a program where driving is required

Nice To Haves

  • Supervisory designation strongly preferred.
  • At least five (5) years of clinical experience in a behavioral health setting, with at least two (2) years in a supervisory or leadership role preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day clinical and operational management of our Qualified Residential Treatment Program (QRTP), ensuring a safe, structured, and trauma-informed environment for youth.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop clinical and residential staff through hiring, onboarding, coaching, performance management, and ongoing professional development.
  • Oversee daily program operations, including staffing, scheduling, youth programming, admissions, discharges, transportation, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Ensure high-quality clinical services by providing guidance on treatment planning, documentation, crisis intervention, and evidence-based care while maintaining regulatory compliance.
  • Monitor program performance, productivity, budgets, and quality improvement initiatives to support operational excellence and positive client outcomes.
  • Build strong relationships with youth, families, referral sources, community partners, and internal teams to ensure coordinated, client-centered care.
  • Participate in the leadership on-call rotation and provide direction during operational emergencies, behavioral crises, and critical incidents.
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement while supporting Unison Health's mission, values, and commitment to exceptional care.
