About The Position

The Clinical Program Manager, Health Promotion is responsible for the operational integrity and success of assigned community health programs, ensuring strong adherence to all contractual and agency service expectations, and maintaining consistently high quality of care. Leads and monitors the mental health promotion and community engagement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work or related field required.
  • Five years of managerial and/or supervisory experience.
  • Valid driver's license and state-required auto insurance.
  • Required to travel extensively (>50% of the time).
  • Ability to handle confidential information.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Maintains patient privacy, including protecting the confidentiality, safeguarding the integrity and availability, and limiting the use and disclosure of patient Protected Health Information (PHI) to authorized individuals and entities.
  • Participates in, conducts, and sustains performance quality improvement activities according to designated role and responsibilities.
  • Sensitivity to service population’s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.
  • Free from alcohol and drug abuse.
  • Understands CII’s basic philosophy and participates fully in carrying out its mission.
  • Board of Behavior Sciences (BBS) or Board of Psychology (BOP) license required.
  • Intermediate working knowledge of computer programs in a Windows environment, including Word, Excel, and E-mail.

Responsibilities

  • Seeks opportunities to build strong relationships with local community organizations, government agencies and individuals to promote CII programs and explore possible collaborations and/or funding.
  • Represents and speaks for CII at community meetings; collaborates with lead regional managers, Development and other staff to apply for new/increased funding.
  • Participates in opportunities to receive new or increased funding, grant preparation; meets with prospective funders.
  • Leads program initiatives including program and community Leadership development, empowerment, and advocacy such as coalition building, community organizing, the importance of civic participation, and voting rights; and community-led groups (such as peer-to-peer support) and other community-defined capacity building and supports.
  • Manages program deliverables and outcomes including dispersal of client support services, coalition building, referral/linkage targets, program staffing, & participants served.
  • Confirms assigned programs are in compliance with all agency policies and procedures and contractual expectations, including adhering to all state and/or federal funding requirements and licensing requirements.
  • Ensures continuous availability of clinical supervision, consultation, and support as required during and after normal work hours.
  • Promotes highly integrated and effective care, a one-CII culture, and adherence to agency values.
  • Manages development and implementation of comprehensive, coordinated service plans for all covered families.
  • Responsible for timely, quality documentation of services in accordance with agency and county requirements and that services are kept with the highest standard of care.
  • Manages the collection of process and outcome data and utilizes the data to improve program procedures, identify needs, and highlight program successes
  • Provides input on the development of program budgets; reviews and approves payment of expenses ensuring compliance with approved budgets.
  • Ensures resources are sufficient to support the assigned programs.
  • Guides assigned programs to meet revenue and other goals.
  • Maintains working knowledge of current program management practices through reading, participation in seminars and other educational opportunities and personal contacts/memberships in the field.
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned.
  • Supervises up to 10 staff.
  • Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the direct and indirect reports.
  • Provides direct supervision to supervisors.
  • Is responsible for providing leadership development to all program staff.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
