Clinical & Professional Skills Technician
About The Position
This position assists in setting up, facilitating, and tearing down clinical and professional skills labs at the Texas Tech University School of Veterinary Medicine (TTU SVM). Responsibilities include monitoring the condition of teaching models, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring adherence to safety practices and health regulations. The technician will also prepare instructional materials, maintain lab organization, cross-train on CAE Healthcare software, assist in training Simulated Clients, manage inventory, and support veterinary technicians as needed. The role requires the ability to routinely lift 50 pounds or less independently and to promote and foster the Core Values of the School of Veterinary Medicine.
Requirements
- Graduation from high school or GED equivalent required.

Responsibilities
- Assist veterinary faculty and staff in set up, facilitation, and tear down of clinical and professional skills labs.
- Assist with preparation of items for laboratories, including handouts, pre-lab videos, and other instructional materials.
- Monitor quantity and condition of existing models and supplies, and help provide routine maintenance.
- Maintain clinical and professional skills laboratories and storage closets in a clean and organized manner.
- Cross train on the use of the professional skills CAE Healthcare software.
- Assist in the training of Simulated Clients with TTUHSC and SIMCentral.
- Assist in managing inventory for supplies used in clinical and professional skills.
- Routinely lift 50 pounds or less independently.
- Support veterinary technicians as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
