About The Position

This position is part of the Float Team and is responsible for performing a variety of duties in various ambulatory settings, including primary, multi-specialty, and specialty practices. The role may involve both clinical and administrative tasks, such as assisting providers with patient care and handling clerical, environmental, and organizational duties. The specialist will provide information to patients to ensure they can fully utilize and benefit from clinical services. Maintaining working knowledge of regulatory standards and ensuring compliance in daily operations is crucial. Clinical direction, oversight, and competency review are provided by medical providers and the ambulatory professional development team in coordination with office management.

Requirements

Minimum one year of recent healthcare experience preferred.
Electrocardiogram (EKG), vital signs, venipuncture, capillary, and injection experience.
Electronic health record experience preferred.
Excellent organizational, written/verbal communication and teamwork skills.
Outstanding patient experience skills.
Graduate of a post-secondary medical assisting education program accredited by NJAC(13:35-6.4) approved certifying body AND current certification from a recognized certifying board approved by NJ Board of Medical Examiners.
Current BLS/CPR certification through the American Heart Association.
