About The Position

The Clinical Placement Manager provides operational leadership for clinical education and placement activities across the Berkley School of Nursing’s pre-licensure and graduate programs. Reporting to the Director of Clinical Education and Partnerships, this role oversees Clinical Placement Specialists, manages day-to-day clinical placement operations, and cultivates clinical site partnerships to ensure timely, compliant, and student-centered learning experiences. Ensuring effective execution of established priorities, the Manager implements workflows, performance standards, and accountability measures, and collaborates with academic leadership, faculty, and clinical partners to align placements with program requirements, regulatory standards, and institutional priorities. This role is essential in ensuring high-quality clinical learning experiences are secured that support student success, program effectiveness, and sustainable growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Health Administration, Education, or related field required.
  • 5–7 years of experience in higher education, healthcare, or related clinical/academic operations.
  • Understanding of pre-licensure and graduate nursing clinical education requirements.
  • Experience building and managing partnerships with clinical sites or healthcare organizations.
  • Proven ability to supervise staff and manage operational workflows in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience using data, technology systems, and tools to support operational decision-making.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to foster collaboration, manage conflict, and build effective working relationships.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Experience in clinical placement coordination or academic-practice partnerships strongly preferred.
