About The Position

The School of Nursing is a collaborative, student-centered community dedicated to preparing the next generation of nurses. As our programs continue to grow, our team works together to support excellent teaching and strong partnerships. The individual in this position helps keep the expanding school running smoothly by managing key clinical processes and supporting daily operations. This is an on campus, in person position. Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education or experience; or an additional four years of related experience will be accepted in lieu of an Bachelors's degree.
  • One year of related experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and database software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to learn and use multiple electronic systems.
  • Current authorization to be employed in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage clinical placements of baccalaureate and graduate students in collaboration with the Program Directors and healthcare/community partners.
  • Oversee health clearance and compliance for faculty and students enrolled in nursing programs for clinical placement.
  • Monitor stakeholders and notify when they are out of compliance.
  • In collaboration with School of Nursing leadership, develop and disseminate communication to students related to compliance policies and expectations.
  • Collaborate with the Graduate Program leadership to ensure documents submitted in CORE-ELMS are aligned with the required clinical placement workflow process.
  • Collect and organize semesterly clinical site placement data and unit usage from BS faculty; provide documentation and information from CORE-ELMS, for ISBN, and accreditation reports.
  • Assist students with their purchase of compliance systems and orient/train students on systems (CORE, American Data Bank, CB Bridges).
  • Coordinate and manage student orientations in collaboration with the Program Directors.
  • Work with the Programs Directors to develop and update content related to clinical placement and compliance for student orientation.
  • Collaborate with Graduate Program leadership to develop and deliver onboarding/orientation for preceptors, including clear outcomes and expectations for students and preceptors.
  • Serve as the School of Nursing liaison to clinical agencies for security, EMR, and badge access (undergraduate program). This includes requesting and managing access for each student, providing a list to faculty of login information prior to the start of the semester, and assisting students when they encounter issues with access.
  • Assist the Director and the Graduate Programs leadership for clinical site procurement.
  • Serve as an ex-officio, non-voting member of the Baccalaureate and Graduate Curriculum Committee and the Graduate Admission and Progression Committee.
  • Collaborate with the Division of Online and Strategic Learning (DOSL) to support state authorization processes by providing programmatic information, policies, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the Graduate Programs leadership to promote the online nursing programs through outreach and relationship-building with clinical partners; participate in outreach events for promotion and marketing as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records to support program compliance and accreditation requirements.
  • Assist with supervision of student employee(s).
  • Serve as backup support for other staff.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
