This position is responsible for planning, reviewing, and implementing all activities and functions of clinical transformation using Information Technology. The role provides ongoing managerial, technical, and motivational leadership while supporting the values and objectives of Memorial Hermann Healthcare System. The Clinical Pharmacy Informaticist will participate in clinical transformation through careful analysis of current processes and workflow and change management strategies that align with the strategic plan, leveraging available resources, metrics, benchmarks, and system standards across the enterprise. This role requires a patient's view of continuation of care, a department's view of integration, and a clinician's view of best practice. The Pharmacy Clinical Informaticist will work closely with system and campus leadership and resources to assist in the design of the CIS system and build consensus around the process, workflow, and content for the CIS. The Clinical Pharmacy Informaticist must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills required in a large, complex corporate Information System. The Clinical Pharmacy Informaticist applies change management and technical skills in line with the values and goals of MHHS to ensure the efficient, effective, and consistent delivery of high-quality services. The Clinical Pharmacy Informaticist is responsible for translating process and workflow decisions into educational materials leveraging change management and adult learning principles. The Clinical Pharmacy Informaticist demonstrates a commitment to the values of the corporation through active participation in the Partners in Caring, Customer Service, Six Sigma, and Continuous Quality Improvement programs. This role serves as a key partner between Clinical Documentation, Quality, Information Services, and clinical operations to support the optimization of Epic and related clinical systems. The individual will lead and manage quality-focused projects, collaborate with providers, nurses, ancillary departments, coding, and revenue cycle teams to evaluate and improve clinical workflows, and ensure system enhancements align with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and quality standards. Responsibilities include reviewing and optimizing Epic workflows, supporting clinical documentation initiatives such as the After Visit Summary, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency while reducing risk, and participating in investigations or implementations as needed. The ideal candidate is an experienced RN with Epic and informatics experience who is a strong communicator, works well independently and collaboratively, understands clinical workflows and compliance, and can effectively engage stakeholders across the organization to drive successful outcomes.
