About The Position

This is a part-time Clinical Pharmacist position at Texas Health Cleburne, a Joint Commission-accredited hospital recognized as a Top Performer for Quality Care. The pharmacy department is a top-tier department with a culture of excellence, operating in a high acuity, high volume, fast-paced environment providing a full range of patient care services. The academic program includes interprofessional teaching services, PGY1 and PGY2 pharmacy residency programs, and student precepting. The role involves delivering high quality patient care through nursing education, nursing research, and innovations in nursing practice, within a supportive team environment with outstanding opportunities for growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree Pharmacy Required
  • Other Pharm D. Required
  • CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency required.
  • PHAR- Pharmacist upon hire required.
  • Must be proficient in written and verbal English language communication skills, computer proficient and possess basic math skills.

Nice To Haves

  • 3 years of hospital experience or residency preferred.
  • Highly preferred PGY1 residency completion (or equivalence)
  • Experience working in an inpatient acute care or hospital pharmacy setting is highly preferred.
  • IV certification highly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Communicating effectively, building positive professional relationships and role modeling teamwork.
  • Timely and accurate support of medication distribution including medication order verification and oversight of pharmacy technician responsibilities.
  • Provision of clinical pharmacy services for the safe and efficient patient care.
  • Ensuring the accuracy of one's own work as well as maintaining required competencies and other documentation.
  • Consistent support of the department's quality improvement and patient safety standards programs and initiatives is also required.
  • Ongoing professional development and growth.
  • Management of one's own time and shares the responsibility for minimizing pharmaceutical costs (including wastage) and discovering new process efficiencies.
  • Respond to medical emergencies per hospital policy as available.
  • Other duties as assigned.
