About The Position

The Cardiac Medical Unit (CMU) is a 35-bed department with multidisciplinary teams of RNs, LPNs, nurse technicians, and ancillary staff. They collaborate to provide compassionate patient care for stroke and dialysis patients. CMU serves as the designated stroke floor for Freeman, contributing to its Level II Stroke Accreditation. The unit cares for hemodynamically stable neuro-medical and renal patients. Requirements

• Currently enrolled in RN nursing program and beginning final semester of nursing school
• AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers within 60 days
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Training Program (CPI) within 365 days
• NT Competency Day annually by transcript due date

Responsibilities

• Under the direction/supervision of a nurse, provides basic nursing care needs for assigned patients.
