About The Position
This position is for a 4th Semester Clinical Partnership/Finale Student Assistant in the ICU Step-Down Unit (TCU). The Transitional Care Unit is a 20-bed department with a multidisciplinary team of nurses, nurse technicians, and ancillary staff. TCU serves Freeman and the community by caring for patients transitioning from ICU to Med-Surge level of care. They manage a wide range of patient populations, including those with cardiac complications, respiratory distress, and diabetes management. Requirements
- Currently enrolled in RN Nursing Program and beginning final semester of nursing school
- AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers within 60 days.
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Training Program (CPI) within 365 days.
- NT Competency Day annually by transcript due date.
Responsibilities
- Under the direction/supervision of a nurse, provides basic nursing care needs for assigned patients.
