About The Position
Located on the fourth floor of the Tower at Freeman Hospital West, this is a 29-bed unit providing post-operative care to adult patients following Orthopedic trauma, head injury, and scheduled joint or spine surgery. We provide a patient-centered approach to helping patients return to their best by coordinating efforts with our therapy team to help ensure a successful recovery. Our focus is on building a team-centered work environment where compassion is key, patient safety is paramount, and you will have the ability to make a difference in the lives of your patients and their families.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in RN nursing program and beginning final semester of nursing school
- Must successfully pass Patient Care Orientation (PCO) within 30 days of hire.
- AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers within 60 days.
- NT Competency Day annually by transcript due date.
Responsibilities
- Under the direction/supervision of a nurse, provides basic nursing care needs for assigned patients.
