About The Position

The Clinical Outcomes Associate’s (COA) role is to conduct telephonic outreach to Cook Children’s Health Plan (CCHP) members for needs assessment, appointment scheduling, and care gap closure. You will act as a trusted advisor and educator on health care related inquiries. You will guide our members to a better healthcare experience, working every day to make healthcare easy with the service you provide. This role is responsible for serving as the initial point of contact between CCHP and new members.

Requirements

• High School Graduate required.
• 1 year of healthcare customer service experience required, preferably in Managed Care.
• Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) Required. Must pass Spanish test prior to hire.
• Active Listening skills.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to communicate with supervisors, peers, or subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.
• Sensitivity to others' needs and feelings and being helpful on the job.
• Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer services.
• Ability to interact effectively with people of varied educational, socioeconomic, and ethnic backgrounds, skill levels, and values.
• Ability to enter, transcribe, record, store, or maintain information in written or electronic/magnetic form.
• Time Management skills.

• Experience preferably in Managed Care.
