About The Position

UC Health is hiring a Full Time Clinical Operations Supervisor for the Anesthesia unit for the First Shift at the UC Medical Center. The Clinical Operations Supervisor assists with the day to day management of the administrative and clinical functions in the clinical sites to provide excellent patient/customer service at all applicable sites. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of three to five years of experience preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly with patients of all education levels.
  • Strong line management, interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a variety of people.
  • Computer, telephone, fax machine utilization skills.
  • Proven track record leading a successful team.
  • Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
  • Ability to work without close supervision and to set own priorities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and successfully meet deadlines.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification as an Anesthesia Technician is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates and supervises the daily activities of the team.
  • Plans and schedules work assignments ensuring adequate service levels to physicians and patients.
  • Manages the daily clinical operations in the practice site including management of patient flow, assessing supply needs, and anticipates/resolves problems that interfere with patient care.
  • Perform routine operational efficiency and financial analysis for their unit.
  • Maintains excellent relations with physicians practicing in the clinical area.
  • Anticipates and addresses physician needs for equipment, supplies and support.
  • Triages patient's complaints or concerns and follows through to resolution.
  • Work with physicians and staff to ensure high quality care for patients.
  • Manages the recruitment, development, and performance evaluations of employees.
  • Oversees training and orientation of new employees as well as ongoing skill training for existing staff.
  • Carry out coordination of patient customer relations function.
  • Support in resolving disputes among patients, clinic staff and physicians.
