About The Position

Arbor Neuroscience (formerly Forest Neurotech) is a nonprofit research organization focused on developing solutions for brain disorders like depression and chronic pain by changing brain circuits through design. They are building an experimental platform that includes the Forest 1 ultrasound system for imaging and soon stimulation, along with electrode-based interfaces. The goal is to create models that make neuromodulation predictable. Arbor is a Focused Research Organization within the Convergent Research family, funded for its initial phase, and is seeking individuals who will shape its future.

Requirements

• Substantial experience in human clinical research operations.
• Sufficient scientific training to engage with clinicians and researchers and to assist in running studies.
• Written and spoken communication skills to explain research to participants and collaborators and to draft key documents.
• Organizational and interpersonal skills to manage diverse stakeholders and drive progress without established processes.
• Ambition to build clinical infrastructure, not just operate it.
• Directness and a collaborative approach without competition.

Nice To Haves

• Background in neuroscience, neuroimaging, or neuromodulation.
• Experience working with hospitals, academic medical centers, or external clinical research partners.
• Early-stage medical device or biotech experience.
• Familiarity with ICH-GCP, ISO 14155, and FDA medical device requirements.
• Experience with QMS, CTMS, or eTMF systems.
• Experience with AE/SAE reporting, monitoring, CAPAs, and audit readiness.

Responsibilities

• Partner with scientific leadership on clinical strategy, including site selection and partnership alignment.
• Develop and own a recruitment program for a scattered participant pool.
• Qualify and onboard clinical partners.
• Help design at-home study requirements, considering participant experience, logistics, and safety.
• Lead start-up for internal and external studies.
• Own IRB submissions and ongoing interactions.
• Manage participant scheduling, visits, follow-up, payments, and travel.
• Coordinate device deployment, equipment readiness, and study-specific technical support.
• Establish and maintain TMF, document control, clinical SOPs, and the personnel training program.
• Own adverse event tracking and reporting.
• Build and maintain relationships with clinicians and hospital departments.
• Grow studies beyond the clinic, exploring at-home longitudinal neuromodulation.
