About The Position

The BerbeeWalsh Department of Emergency Medicine (DEM) at the UW School of Medicine and Public Health seeks a highly organized and enthusiastic Clinical Operations Coordinator (COC). The COC will play an integral role in continuing DEM's efforts by managing the department’s clinical quality and scheduling portfolio, which is inclusive of faculty, APPs, Med Flight, and learner cohorts. A successful COC is customer service– oriented, collaborative, a team player, and highly organized. They serve as a central resource to the department’s clinical efforts and are instrumental in ensuring the team has the tools and resources needed to improve the health and well-being of Wisconsin and beyond. This position will assist faculty and department leadership in the successful performance of departmental clinical activities. Responsibilities include continuous tracking, prioritizing, organizing, and communicating multiple ongoing initiatives at various stages of progress. The position requires outstanding administrative, organizational, interpersonal, and computer skills, as well as the ability to work independently and proactively. Requirements

Minimum of 3 years experience with calendaring and/or scheduling
Proficiency with frequently used computer programs (such as Microsoft Office Suite, WebEx, and Zoom (or similar))
Strong attention to detail
Effective interpersonal communication skills

Nice To Haves

Experience working in an academic and/or healthcare environment
Demonstrated expertise in scheduling software
Experience coordinating meetings and administrative workflows
Experience managing phone systems

Responsibilities

Serves on committees and attends meetings, representing the interests of the unit or program
Assists, recommends, and advises staff on unit or program administrative issues, personnel matters, and budgetary problems
Schedules logistics and secures resources for a designated work unit to contribute to the day-to-day operational success
Analyzes data and trends, compiles progress reports, and provides appropriate recommendations or conclusions in support of the assigned operational work unit(s)
Implements and executes established policies and procedures for a designated work unit to adhere to unit objectives and to align with established strategies
Manages clinical scheduling
