About The Position

The Clinical Nutrition Specialist I provides comprehensive, quality nutrition care to a defined patient population in an efficient, timely and caring manner. Responsibilities include nutrition assessment of patients that are at nutritional risk; development, implementation, and on-going evaluation of a nutrition care plan; education of patients and families with consideration for individual needs with follow-up information to referring physician. The Clinical Nutrition Specialist I is also involved in education of students, hospital staff and the community. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 1-2 years experience
  • Registered Dietitian - required upon hire
  • Employees must obtain Licensed Dietitian KS or equivalent within 15 days of start date.
  • Employees must obtain Licensed Dietitian MO or equivalent within 15 days of start date.
  • Hepatitis B Vaccination (for dialysis only) Required Upon Hire

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree preferred
  • Membership Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Preferred Upon Hire

Responsibilities

  • Provide nutrition care for all patients in the assigned caseload.
  • Provide education and/or in-service training to students and staff, professionals, and community.
  • Participate in Nutrition department activities.
