Sodexo is seeking an experienced Registered Dietitian for a Clinical Nutrition Manager role at Altru Health System in Grand Forks, North Dakota. This brand-new, state-of-the-art 226-bed acute care hospital serves as a regional hub for advanced, patient-centered care, offering a collaborative environment focused on clinical excellence, innovation, and community impact.

Requirements

  • Registered Dietitian credentials with acute care experience and a great clinical knowledge base
  • Proven supervisory or management experience
  • Excellent communication, leadership and customer service skills
  • Experience with regulatory accreditation and establishing and maintaining standards of care
  • A strong commitment to excellence in all aspects of patient care
  • Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
  • For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24: Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
  • Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire.
  • Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice.
  • At least 13 months experience supervising and directing people and other resources to achieve specific end results within limited timeframes.
  • 3 years as experienced practitioner able to work unsupervised and provide professional supervision to developing practitioners

Responsibilities

  • Supervise a team of 4 Dietitians and 5 Diet Clerks across inpatient and outpatient settings
  • Drive Performance Improvement and Quality Management projects
  • Oversee rollout of department programs and initiatives, as necessary
  • Facilitate local community and wellness initiatives
  • Provide training and education to the food service staff, as well as interdisciplinary healthcare professionals
  • Be the primary liaison with medical and nursing staff and represent the department on hospital wide committees
  • Serve in a leadership role on the Food and Nutrition Services team and assist in operational management as needed
