Sodexo is seeking a Registered Dietitian for a Clinical Nutrition Manager position at Jacobi Medical Center, located in the Pelham neighborhood of the Bronx. This 457-bed Level 1 Trauma Center is part of the New York City Health + Hospitals System and serves as both a Bariatric and Cancer Center of Excellence.

Requirements

Experienced Registered Dietitian with a great clinical knowledge base
Proven supervisory or management experience
Excellent communication, leadership and customer service skills
Experienced with regulatory accreditation and establishing and maintaining standards of care
Strong commitment to excellence in all aspects of patient care
Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24: Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire.
In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire
Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice.
In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire
6 years experience of planning, managing and organizing resources within short/medium timeframes within the overall policy framework
5 years as experienced specialized practitioner able to work unsupervised and provide professional supervision to specialists

Responsibilities

Lead a team of eight inpatient dietitians and provide oversight to the diet office staff
Drive Performance Improvement and Quality Management projects
Oversee rollout of department programs and initiatives
Act as the liaison between client administrators and dietitian staff
Precept students and mentor new dietitians
Be the primary liaison with medical and nursing staff and represent the department on hospital wide committees
Serve in a leadership role on the Food and Nutrition Services team and assist in food service management as needed
