Sodexo is seeking a Registered Dietitian for a Clinical Nutrition Manager position at Jacobi Medical Center, located in the Pelham neighborhood of the Bronx. This 457-bed Level 1 Trauma Center is part of the New York City Health + Hospitals System and serves as both a Bariatric and Cancer Center of Excellence.

Requirements

  • Experienced Registered Dietitian with a great clinical knowledge base
  • Proven supervisory or management experience
  • Excellent communication, leadership and customer service skills
  • Experienced with regulatory accreditation and establishing and maintaining standards of care
  • Strong commitment to excellence in all aspects of patient care
  • Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
  • For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24: Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
  • Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire.
  • In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire
  • Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice.
  • In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire
  • 6 years experience of planning, managing and organizing resources within short/medium timeframes within the overall policy framework
  • 5 years as experienced specialized practitioner able to work unsupervised and provide professional supervision to specialists

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of eight inpatient dietitians and provide oversight to the diet office staff
  • Drive Performance Improvement and Quality Management projects
  • Oversee rollout of department programs and initiatives
  • Act as the liaison between client administrators and dietitian staff
  • Precept students and mentor new dietitians
  • Be the primary liaison with medical and nursing staff and represent the department on hospital wide committees
  • Serve in a leadership role on the Food and Nutrition Services team and assist in food service management as needed
