Requirements

• Current, unencumbered RN license in the State of Colorado
• Master's degree in Nursing
• 2–3 years of clinical nursing experience

• Previous teaching, precepting, mentoring, or clinical education experience
• Experience as a preceptor, mentor, charge nurse, clinical leader, or a nurse others naturally turn to for guidance.

Responsibilities

• Guide nursing students through hands-on clinical experiences in local healthcare settings.
• Connect real-world nursing practice to what students are learning in their courses.
• Coach and mentor students as they develop clinical skills, judgment, communication, and confidence.
• Observe student performance and provide meaningful feedback and evaluation.
• Recognize opportunities for additional support and help students develop through coaching and remediation.
• Collaborate with Joyce faculty and staff to support a consistent, student-centered learning experience.
• Stay current in your nursing practice and bring current clinical knowledge into your teaching.
• Participate in select university activities such as faculty meetings, pinning ceremonies, and graduation.
