The Clinical & Translational Research Center (CTRC) is seeking a Clinical Nurse to join their team. The CTRC is a hub for groundbreaking early-phase clinical trials, supporting over 700 cutting-edge trials across 22 departments. This facility focuses on first-in-human, Phase I and II studies, where innovation meets patient care. The ideal candidate will possess at least two years of clinical nursing experience, with a preference for oncology, research, med/surg, or cardiac experience. Strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, research-driven environment are essential. The role involves administering and monitoring a variety of systemic cancer therapies and other injectable infusions to an adult population. This includes research protocols, standard chemotherapy, targeted therapy, immunotherapy, blood products, IVIG, growth factors, antibiotics, electrolytes, and hydration. Specific competencies include IV insertion, venous access device management, accurate administration and monitoring of infusions via various routes, performing independent double-checks for chemotherapy administration, safe handling and disposal of chemotherapy, management of treatment-related side effects and adverse reactions, and minimizing infection risk for immunocompromised patients.
