Clinical Nurse: Irvine Medical Oncology
About The Position
Hoag Irvine is seeking passionate and motivated Clinical Nurses (RN) to join their new 22-bed Inpatient Medical Oncology unit as part of the Irvine expansion. This state-of-the-art unit focuses on oncology care, with some mixed med-surg/telemetry patients, and offers opportunities for nurses to shape unit culture, workflows, and standards. The role involves providing direct inpatient care, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team, and delivering evidence-based, patient-centered oncology care. Nurses will administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, biotherapy, and blood products, educate patients and families, and participate in quality improvement initiatives. Requirements
- Active California RN license
- Minimum 1 year of high-acuity inpatient nursing experience
- Chemotherapy & Immunotherapy Provider Card (or willingness to obtain)
- BLS & ACLS (AHA)
- EKG competency
- BSN (or active enrollment per Hoag policy)

Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate inpatient oncology nursing care
- Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, biotherapy, blood products, and supportive medications following ONS standards
- Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, nurse navigators, social work, palliative care, and case management
- Educate patients and families and support transitions of care, including palliative and hospice services
- Participate in continuous quality improvement and uphold departmental and hospital standards
