Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center is seeking Clinical Nurses for its Emergency Oncology Service at the Urgent Care Center. The service provides emergent, comprehensive, patient-centered care to MSK patients, families, and staff 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Patients are triaged and evaluated, then admitted, discharged, or placed in observation in the Clinical Decision Unit. The emergency room manages approximately 80–100 patients daily, provides urgent care for registered MSK patients, and has ICU, Stepdown, Telemetry, and Med/Surg capabilities. It does not handle trauma or 911 calls; stabilized patients are typically transferred to Cornell, and approximately half of patients are admitted. The nurse implements the nursing process for medical and surgical patients requiring intensive monitoring and nursing interventions, collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to support continuity of care, and provides patient-centered care to patients, including unregistered patients. The role also includes caring for employees injured on the premises. The schedule consists of three 12-hour shifts, with rotating weekends and holidays. Candidates should be amenable to either the night shift (7:30 p.m.–8:00 a.m.) or mid-shift (12:00 p.m.–12:30 a.m.). The position is located at 1275 York Avenue, New York, NY. The stated pay range is $110,700–$220,400.
