About The Position

This leader will have to travel to all sites and round with team. The Clinical Nurse Supervisor provides support in the delivery of quality clinical care. They work closely with the healthcare team and physician to assure triage, telephone assessments, home therapies, and patient visits are consistent with established guidelines and followed by the healthcare team. This role takes a lead in assisting the clinical team to meet/exceed CI goals, assists physicians and associates in managing patient registries, and ensures monthly office inspection checklists and other required audits are conducted in a timely manner. The supervisor ensures AMG standing operating procedures are followed, oversees approved site research activities, and demonstrates independent problem-solving and critical decision-making, knowing when to obtain additional resources. They hold clinical staff accountable to AMG rooming standards and ensure the timely management of EMR tasks, overdue orders, test result follow-up, and other patient follow-up. The role requires demonstrating appropriate action and taking a lead role in emergency situations, assuring timely response to emergency calls by staff, and identifying, evaluating, and resolving potential safety problems, including equipment maintenance issues. The supervisor also ensures staff adherence to timely and accurate documentation of all patient care services by monitoring staff compliance within all AMG wide systems and regulatory standards. They support a safe environment for patients and associates through effective monitoring of staff compliance to established standards of care, policies, procedures, and HIPAA compliance, ensuring associates are up-to-date with all safety training and certifications. This role acts as a role model and champion for the Culture of Safety, works with the manager to resolve patient safety events, promotes and educates staff on the reporting system, and works with the manager to complete ACAs and RCAs when indicated, utilizing information to implement process changes and staff education. The supervisor leads site clinical integration activities and demonstrates appropriate action and takes a lead role in emergency situations, assuring timely response to emergency calls by staff, and identifying, evaluating, and resolving potential safety problems, including equipment maintenance issues. In patient satisfaction and operations, this role collaborates with the manager/director and physician leadership to maintain a patient-centered environment, monitors data, reviews with staff and physicians, and jointly develops improvement plans to meet/exceed patient satisfaction targets. They hold self and others accountable to adherence to AMG Service Standards, Behaviors of Excellence, AIDET, and MVP, and participate in activities to evaluate and improve processes that contribute to patient satisfaction. The supervisor conducts frequent assessments of patient flow, takes appropriate steps to reduce wait times, and keeps patients informed of delays. They are responsible for conveying a professional image in compliance with AMG clothing and grooming standards and wears AMG provided identification tags at all times. The role involves following through and taking ownership of patient complaints and practicing Service Recovery. They foster a pleasant and professional environment, ensuring adequate clinical staffing by developing schedules and assignments, and assists in coordinating managed care issues and nursing updates. The supervisor evaluates service levels and operational procedures, engages staff in issue resolution, actively rounds on patients, associates, and physicians, and ensures the team has the necessary resources. They actively participate and/or lead team huddles. In associate engagement/human resources, this role collaborates with the practice manager on HR functions, provides leadership to create a motivated environment, conducts regular staff meetings and daily huddles, documents meetings, conducts performance reviews on time, and demonstrates effective time management, problem-solving, collaboration, and conflict resolution skills. The supervisor consistently ensures the manager is informed of key events, provides ongoing performance feedback through coaching and mentoring, orients and trains new associates, documents training, and seeks opportunities for further education and development. They assure all associates maintain certification and required continuing education units (CEUs). In growth and funding, this role supports initiatives that enhance practice growth and patient retention, participates in activities that foster practice growth, promotes same-day access, and is engaged in volume visit targets. They maintain an effective process for inventory control and medication supply utilization, proactively manage staff schedules to minimize overtime, and work collaboratively to achieve revenue and cost targets, maximizing team efficiency. In physician/provider engagement, the supervisor assists in creating and maintaining an operationally efficient and physician/provider friendly work environment, provides support for onboarding new physicians/providers, rounds with physicians/providers daily to review issues and address concerns, solicits feedback on staff performance, engages physicians/providers in improving processes, workflow, and EMR concerns, and assists with patient care and safety issues. They review physician/provider satisfaction results and collaborate with management to execute improvement plans. Miscellaneous duties include fulfilling additional job-related duties as directed, actively participating in meetings, committees, and projects, staying abreast of current clinical standards, and performing other duties as assigned. The supervisor performs clinical duties as determined by the needs of the practice site(s) or as assigned by their manager. This leader will have to travel to all sites and round with the team.
