This leader will have to travel to all sites and round with team. The Clinical Nurse Supervisor provides support in the delivery of quality clinical care. They work closely with the healthcare team and physician to assure triage, telephone assessments, home therapies, and patient visits are consistent with established guidelines and followed by the healthcare team. This role takes a lead in assisting the clinical team to meet/exceed CI goals, assists physicians and associates in managing patient registries, and ensures monthly office inspection checklists and other required audits are conducted in a timely manner. The supervisor ensures AMG standing operating procedures are followed, oversees approved site research activities, and demonstrates independent problem-solving and critical decision-making. They hold clinical staff accountable to AMG rooming standards and ensure the timely management of EMR tasks, overdue orders, test result follow-up, and other patient follow-up. The role requires demonstrating appropriate action and taking a lead role in emergency situations, assuring timely response to emergency calls by staff, and identifying, evaluating, and resolving potential safety problems, including equipment maintenance issues. The supervisor also ensures staff adherence to timely and accurate documentation of all patient care services by monitoring staff compliance within all AMG wide systems and regulatory standards. They support a safe environment for patients and associates through effective monitoring of staff compliance to established standards of care, policies, procedures, and HIPAA compliance, ensuring associates are up-to-date with all safety training and certifications. This role acts as a role model and champion for Culture of Safety, working with the manager to resolve patient safety events and promoting reporting systems. They utilize information to implement process changes and staff education, and lead site clinical integration activities. In terms of patient satisfaction and operations, the supervisor collaborates with the manager/director and physician leadership to maintain a patient-centered environment, monitors data, reviews with staff and physicians, and develops improvement plans. They hold self and others accountable to AMG Service Standards, Behaviors of Excellence, AIDET, and MVP, and participate in activities to evaluate and improve processes contributing to patient satisfaction. The supervisor conducts frequent assessments of patient flow, takes steps to reduce wait times, and keeps patients informed of delays. They are responsible for conveying a professional image, following through on patient complaints, and practicing Service Recovery. The role fosters a pleasant and professional environment, ensures adequate clinical staffing by developing schedules, assists in coordinating managed care issues and nursing updates, and evaluates service levels and operational procedures. They actively round on patients, associates, and physicians, ensuring the team has necessary resources, and actively participates in or leads team huddles. For associate engagement and human resources, the supervisor collaborates with the practice manager on HR functions, provides leadership to create a motivating environment, conducts regular staff meetings and daily huddles, and documents meetings. They conduct performance reviews on time, demonstrate effective time management, problem-solving, collaboration, and conflict resolution skills, and keep the manager informed of key events. The supervisor provides ongoing performance feedback through coaching and mentoring, orients and trains new associates, documents orientation and training, and seeks opportunities for further education and development. They assure all associates maintain certification and required continuing education units (CEUs). In growth and funding, the supervisor supports initiatives enhancing practice growth and patient retention, participates in growth activities, promotes same-day access, maintains an effective process for inventory control and medication supply utilization, proactively manages staff schedules to minimize overtime, and works collaboratively to achieve revenue and cost targets. They maximize team efficiency by utilizing all team members. For physician/provider engagement, the supervisor assists in creating and maintaining an operationally efficient and physician/provider friendly work environment, supports onboarding of new physicians/providers, rounds with physicians/providers daily to review issues and concerns, solicits feedback, engages physicians/providers in improving processes, workflow, and EMR concerns, assists with patient care and safety issues, and reviews physician/provider satisfaction results to execute improvement plans. Miscellaneous duties include fulfilling additional job-related duties as directed, actively participating in meetings, committees, and projects, staying abreast of current clinical standards, participating in activities to enhance professional growth, maintaining licensure and completing required CEUs, and performing other duties as assigned. The supervisor will also perform clinical duties as determined by the needs of the practice site(s) or as assigned by their manager.
