About The Position

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center seeks a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) to support the Ross PCU and ICU clinical areas. The CNS integrates care across the patient, clinical practice, and healthcare system spheres, with clinical expertise as the foundation. The role provides expert care in health and illness management, disease management, health promotion, and illness and risk prevention for individuals, families, groups, and communities.

The CNS delivers holistic direct care to patients, families, and populations; advances evidence-based clinical practice and mentors and supports clinical staff; and influences organizational decisions and system changes to improve quality, cost-effectiveness, patient outcomes, and care delivery. The position is based at Ross Heart Hospital and is scheduled for 40 hours on a rotating shift.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current licensure as an RN and APRN in the State of Ohio.
• Master’s degree in nursing.
• Certification as a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS).
• Clinical experience relevant to the department’s specialty.

• Specialty certification.
• Clinical experience relevant to the assigned unit(s) or department specialty, as defined by the scope of service.
• Previous experience as a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS).
