About The Position
The Clinical Nurse Manager directs, plans, and coordinates service activities and staffing performance for professional and auxiliary nursing personnel to support quality patient care. The role may also provide direct patient care and is based onsite at Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required; experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
- Registered Nurse (RN) state license required.
- Two to three years of nursing experience required.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Strong commitment to clinical excellence.
- Ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
- Knowledge of the care required by the age groups receiving care.
Nice To Haves
- Master’s degree in Nursing preferred.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
- One to two years of nursing leadership experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the development, implementation, and evaluation of staff onboarding, training, and education.
- Provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback for staff.
- Ensure a positive work environment that is safe for patients, visitors, and staff.
- Coordinate unit activities with other hospital departments.
- Develop and implement staffing plans.
