About The Position

Under the direction of the Manager, CSPP - Operational Practice Support, the Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) integrates knowledge and skill reflective of the Health Services model of care and principles of adult learning, in the provision of education, research, and quality client centered care for a defined group of clients and programs. The incumbent will provide visible, proactive leadership and promote the delivery of client centered care through identified education programming. In collaboration with the Manager, the CNE is responsible for assessing learning needs of staff, planning, implementing, and evaluating education activities/programs. The Clinical Nurse Educator will use a consultative approach and research findings to provide support to health care professionals as appropriate. Positions will have specific responsibilities related to specialized client needs and clinical knowledge within designated programs in the SHA. Requirements

  • 3 years experience in clinical area within the past 5 years
  • Experience developing/implementing/evaluating programs/resources
  • Experience in teaching adults

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)
  • Basic Life Support Instructor Certificate (BLS)

  • Articulates theory and knowledge related to client centered care
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office is required
  • Registered/eligible with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS)
