Nurse B - Clinical Nurse Educator
About The Position
The Clinical Educator integrates skills and knowledge from nursing theory and principles of adult learning in the provision of direct patient care, clinical coordination, clinical problem-solving, education and research for a defined group of patients and/or programs. The incumbent will provide leadership that is visible, pro-active and provides the delivery of client care through the application of practice standards. In consultation with the site Director/Manager(s), the individual is responsible for assessing learning needs of staff, planning, implementing and evaluating designated educational activities/programs either facility-based and/or Region wide. The HCCE will use a consultative approach with evidence based research to provide support to Staff.
Requirements
- Registered/eligible with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS)
- Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)
- Basic Life Support Instructor Certificate (BLS)
- Nursing diploma is acceptable
- Basic Computer skills
- Advanced Problem solving skills
- Advanced Research skills
- Advanced Facilitation skills
- Basic Change management skills
- Advanced Presentation skills
- Advanced Communication skills
- Basic Organizational skills
- Advanced Leadership skills
- Knowledge in education and program development, implementation and evaluation
- Knowledge in nursing process and principles of adult learning
